Priority Point System

The St. John's Priority Point System is based on your financial contributions to the athletic program and your loyalty as a season ticket holder. It will determine your seat assignment every other year. As a season ticket holder, you will have the opportunity to increase your point total during the year and, in turn, move closer to the action on the court.

FAQ's

When are Priority Points calculated?
Priority Points are calculated throughout the fiscal year (June 1 through May 31). Final point totals rankings will be calculated at the conclusion of that fiscal year.

Where exactly can I donate to receive my points?
Unrestricted gifts to the St. John's athletics program provide us with the most flexibility to use your gift where it's needed most. You may also restrict your gift to any one of our 17 men's and women's Division 1 teams. Additionally, your gift can be designated to a number of other athletics related areas.

What happens to my points at the end of the year?
Point totals will be accrued and remain throughout the term of the Priority Point System.

Can I improve my seat location?
Yes, the program operates on fair and equitable accrual of points and serves to reward fans and donors for their financial support and loyalty. You will have the opportunity to improve your seat every other year based on your generosity and years of support. Seating assignments will be changed every other season in accordance with your accumulation of points. However, you can elect to keep your (current) seating position even if you are entitled to an upgrade in that fiscal year. All you need to do is submit a written request to the St. John's University Carnesecca Arena Ticket Office.

How many regular season ticket packages can the account holder of record purchase?
The maximum number of regular season tickets that can be purchased based on the Priority Point System by one account holder is eight. You are welcome to purchase additional packages; however, any additional tickets purchased will not be included in your Priority Point total and will be located in the first available seating area outside the Priority Point allocation area.

What if I want to transfer points between accounts?
Priority Points and season tickets cannot be transferred from one person to another. However, in the event of a death of a season ticket holder, the surviving spouse (or other immediate family member) automatically retains the points and season tickets in the name of the account holder.

The Priority Points System will determine all season ticket seat assignments. Seating allocation will be based on the total number of points for each season ticket holder. Reseating will occur every other year according to the criteria.

At the conclusion of each fiscal year (May 31) total points will be calculated and season ticket holders will be ranked according to their totals. Once the ranking is finalized, account holders will be contacted to determine their seat location for the upcoming season.

In order to maintain your seats each year or to upgrade your seats, you may need to maintain or increase your level of giving to the Red White Annual Fund.
