DaSilva Memorial Field and Track Photo Gallery

Originally opened as St. John's Stadium in 1978, DaSilva Memorial Field was rededicated in 1998 in memory of John DaSilva, a St. John's University hockey star who was killed tragically in an automobile accident. DaSilva Memorial Field is home to the men's lacrosse and women's track and field teams, and has a seating capacity of 1,200. The field was resurfaced in the summer of 2004 to incorporate the new FieldTurf surface. In 2010, the University completed the D'Angelo Center, a 127,000-square foot, five story student center that is adjacent to the field.

In 2010, the Red Storm Lacrosse team posted a 3-3 record in front of its home-town crowd. The Red Storm wowed fans with a stunning overtime victory over Vermont while hosting eventual national runner-up Notre Dame and then-no. 2 Syracuse. St. John's broke its previous attendance record on Senior Day as 1,508 fans came to watch the Red Storm take on the Orange.
