Billie Jean King National Tennis Center
Along with The Courts at St. John's, the Red Storm men and women’s tennis programs also calls the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center their home court.
Located just 15 minutes away from the Queens campus in Flushing Meadows, the NTC gives St. John’s student-athletes the unprecedented experience of playing at one of the premier tennis facilities in the world. The NTC also plays host to one of tennis’ Grand Slam tournaments, the U.S. Open.
The 2013-14 season marked the second-consecutive season in which both programs played all of their home matches at the NTC. The Red Storm plays its matches in NTC’s state-of-the-art Indoor Training Center as well as the facility’s outdoor courts during the spring months while also having access to the training and locker rooms.
This past April, the BIG EAST Championships for men and women’s tennis was played at the NTC for the first time.
The Courts at St. John's
The Courts at St. John's serve as home to both the men and women's tennis teams. Located adjacent to Taffner Field House, the tennis courts are open daily throughout the year and are operated by the Recreational Sports Department. In addition to serving as the home to the Red Storm tennis teams, The Courts at St. John's also provide students with an opportunity to participate in tennis as a recreational activity.
