Karli Hausman is in her 11th year at St. John's and is the Assistant Athletics Director for Marketing & Promotions. She oversees production of game scripts, timelines, detailing in-game activities for eight revenue and Olympic sports including men's basketball at Madison Square Garden. Hausman is directly responsible for executing marketing plans including internal and external advertising campaigns, implementing creative in-game promotions, announcer scripts, on campus attendance efforts and sponsorship fulfillment. Specifically her advertising experience is with print, TV, digital and online efforts. She is responsible for radio, newspaper and advertising trade campaigns. Annually she spearheads the timeline of events and full implementation of the St. John's Red Storm Tip-off Midnight Madness event. She works directly with men's and women's soccer, volleyball, men's and women's basketball, softball, baseball and lacrosse for creative marketing photo and video shoots for marketing materials including commercials, introduction videos print materials. One of Hausman's biggest staples at St. John's was devising and creating the popular athletics mascot, Johnny Thunderbird through extensive research and fan engaging efforts.

Hausman, a 2004 graduate of Kutztown University (Pa.) with a B.A. in speech communication and a minor in public relations, obtained a masters degree in sport management from East Stroudsburg University, in 2005. Hausman comes to St. John's after spending a year at the University of Tennessee as a Men's Athletics Sales and Marketing Assistant. While at Tennessee, Hausman assisted in group sales and the development of exciting game day atmosphere for Football pre-game, Men's Basketball, Swimming and Diving, Track and Field and Baseball. Her responsibilities included event scripts, signage set up, inflatable games set up, management, in game promotions and giveaways. Hausman also managed Volunteer Village pre-game Football activities and was responsible for the Edamerica Orange and White Spring Game hospitality and Fan Day itinerary. While at Tennessee she Won the SEC Intern Award Grant for 2006-07.

Hausman completed internships at Villanova University in Athletic Marketing and Promotions and Lehigh University in Athletic Ticket Operations/Marketing and Promotions. Hausman also spent her graduate career as an administrative assistant serving under the Athletic Director while also serving as an assistant softball coach at East Stroudsburg University. Hausman, is a member of the National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators (NACMA).
