Melissa Manno enters her 17th year in the St. John's ticket office and was named Assistant Athleics Director for Ticket Operations in September of 2010.
Manno's responsibilities include overseeing the St. John's ticket operations and its relation to compliance, revenue, ticket distribution, ticket fulfillment, game operations and ticketing system maintenance.
A staple in the St. John's ticket office since July 1997, Manno held various responsibilities within the ticket office in her former position of ticket manager, including day-to-day operations.
Manno, formerly Melissa Byrne, graduated from St. John's in 1997 with a degree in criminal justice. She was a pitcher on the St. John's softball team in 1994 and posted a 2.55 ERA with a 5-7 record and two saves. She was named to the All-BIG EAST second team and she garnered BIG EAST Pitcher of the Week honors twice. Career- ending shoulder surgeries limited her STJ softball career to one season.
A 1993 graduate of Connetquot High School, Manno was a three-time all-country selection and a two-time all-state honoree. In 2005, she was inducted into the Connetquot High School Hall of Fame.
Manno resides in Valley Stream, N.Y., with her husband Anthony and children Mackenzie and Anthony.
