Michael Compton is in his fourth year working with the St. John's University men's basketball program. Since 2014-15, Compton has overseen the team's strength and conditioning program, contributing to the team's on-court successes including a trip to the 2015 NCAA Tournament.
The Arlington Heights, Ill. native is currently working toward his master's degree in sports management and has previously held internships in strength and conditioning offices at DePaul University and Stanford University. Compton holds a C.S.C.S. from the National Strength & Conditioning Association and a U.S.A.W. Level 1 Weightlifting Certification.
A graduate of Eastern Illinois University, Compton earned a bachelor's of science degree in kinesiology with a concentration in exercise science in 2012. Compton completed his master's degree in sport management at St. John's in 2016.
