Senior Director of Athletic Development
In September 2016 Nick was named the Senior Director of Development for Athletics. He is responsible for the department’s fundraising activities, including annual, major, leadership and planned giving, and special events in support of Athletics mission and goals.
From 2012, Nick was Director of Development for Catholic Foundation for Brooklyn and Queens|Futures in Education and was on the senior management team of Generations of Faith -- the most successful capital campaign in the Diocese's history (raising $130 million).
From 2010 Nick was President & CEO of the Cabrini Mission Foundation (CMF). As president, he was responsible for guiding development for institutions around the world.
Prior to Cabrini, Nick served as the VP of Development at the United States Merchant Marine Academy Alumni Foundation, and was responsible for Kings Point's successful $45 million capital campaign.
Nick was also the Director of Development for five years at his high school alma mater, Xaverian, where he oversaw a $10 million capital campaign.
He originally worked for over three years in the Office of Institutional Advancement at St. John’s during the university’s $150 million capital campaign. His first development position was at La Salle Academy. As Director of Development, he worked on La Salle’s successful $2.1 million capital campaign – the largest in the school’s history.
He is a founding member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Bernard Council. In 2012, he was inducted as a Knight of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem. In 2013, he was named a Distinguished Alumnus of Xaverian High School. He was also honored as "King of Kings" by Courier-Life Publications.
He received his B.S. degree in Journalism from St. John’s University '91. He and his wife, Ismini '92, have been married for 20 years and are the parents of 16-year-old twins, Nicky and Katey, who attend Xaverian and The Notre Dame School (Manhattan), respectively.
