As a Redshirt Sophomore
(2006)
Hit .304 with six doubles, four home runs and 31 RBI in 52 games
and 46 starts … finished third on the team with three home runs and
21 RBI in BIG EAST games … was a member of the BIG EAST Weekly
Honor Roll on April 3 after going 5-for-12 with three home runs and
seven RBI in a series sweep of Georgetown … had hit streaks of
eight, seven and five games over the course of the season … hit
.321 (17-for-53) with runners in scoring position and .283 with two
outs … went 6-for-19 with a double and five runs scored in five BIG
EAST Championship games (May 23-26) … reached base in three of four
plate appearances in the series opener at Cincinnati (May 18) and
went 2-for-5 with an RBI, run and walk in the Saturday series
finale (May 20) … had a team-high six hits, scored three runs and
had three RBI in three games at then-No. 21 Notre Dame (April
13-15) … went 5-for-12 with three home runs, seven RBI and five
runs scored in a three-game BIG EAST series sweep of Georgetown
(March 31-April 2) … went 2-for-4 with an RBI in the series opener
at Villanova (March 24) ... singled, walked and stole a base in the
second game of the series … doubled twice, scored two runs and
walked in six plate appearances at East Tennessee State (March 3) …
finished the Rice Invitational (Feb. 24-26) with three hits, two
runs and two RBI in three starts.
As a Sophomore (2005)
Appeared in 11 games and made two starts … hit .412 with a double,
four RBI and seven runs scored in 17 at-bats … reached base four
times via walks (one) and HBPs (three) and had a .500 on-base
percentage … made two starts in the outfield late in the season,
including one against BIG EAST foe Villanova (May 21) … was 1-for-2
with a single, walk, RBI and run against Fairleigh Dickinson (May
14) … had his first career multi-hit game against St. Peter's
(April 12), going 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run … doubled, was hit
by a pitch, drove in two runs and scored two runs in a win at
Fairleigh Dickinson (April 6).
