As a Sophomore (2006)
Made two starts and nine relief appearances ... went a
perfect 5-0 with 19 strikeouts, eight walks and a 2.14 ERA in 33.2
innings … went 4-0 with a 0.59 ERA in his last nine appearances of
the season (30.2 innings) and 2-0 with a 0.00 ERA in 14 innings as
a starter (two starts) ... led the team to a BIG EAST Championship
win over No. 1 seed Notre Dame with eight strong innings in his
first career start against a conference opponent … allowed six hits
and one unearned run and tied a career-high with four strikeouts …
made two relief appearances in a three-game series at Cincinnati
(May 18-20) ... allowed four hits and one run in 3.2 innings in
picking up his fourth win of the season in the series finale … made
his first start of the season at home against LIU and allowed three
hits and one unearned run in six innings to pick up the win …
earned a win in the first game of a doubleheader against Fairleigh
Dickinson (April 18) with five innings and no earned runs … struck
out three in three scoreless innings of relief at Wagner (March 29)
… needed just seven pitches to retire the side in a one-inning

season with two innings of relief at East Tennessee State (March 5)

As a Freshman (2005)
Appeared in 17 games and made two starts … went 2-0 with a
2.82 ERA and 12 strikeouts in 22.1 innings … 2.82 ERA was lowest
among pitchers returning in 2006 … earned wins in each of his two
starts … allowed just two earned runs in March, April and May
combined (20.1 innings, 0.89 ERA) and finished the regular season
with a 1.66 ERA … had a 0.00 ERA and didn't allow an extra-base hit
in six appearances at The Ballpark (7.1 innings) … went five
innings in a start at Iona (April 13), allowing one run and
striking out three to pick up a win … got a win in his first career
start, holding St. Francis to three hits and no runs in five
innings (April 5) … gave up two hits an no earned runs in a
three-inning relief appearance at Columbia (March 29).
At Corcoran
A three-sport standout at Corcoran … played baseball, basketball
and ran cross country … a two-time All-Central New York first-team
honoree as a pitcher (2003-04) … won the William Smoral “For the
Love of the Game” Award in 2004 … Class AA New York State All-State
fourth team in 2004 … went 5-1 with a 2.12 earned run average in
2004, striking out 69 batters in 41.2 innings, with only six walks
and six complete games … as a junior in 2003, went 3-4 with a 0.64
earned run average … struck out 83 batters in 50.2 innings, walking
12, throwing seven complete games and saving one game … three-time
Class AA all-league pitcher (Onondoga) and a two-time all-league
outfielder … first player in league history to be a unanimous
first-team selection as a pitcher and outfielder (2003-04) … led
Corcoran to 2004 OHSL Class AA Colonial American Championship.
