A submarine right-hander who has been a big part of the Red
Storm bullpen for the last two seasons … pitches to contact and
makes a living by keeping the ball down in the strike zone … has
allowed just two extra-base hits in 35.1 career innings … will
pitch big innings in 2007 and likely get opportunities to add to
his total of six career saves.
As a Redshirt Sophomore (2006)
Had a team-leading 1.20 ERA, three saves and a .218 opponent
batting average in 17 appearances (15 innings) … had the
second-most saves on the team (three) and was tied for fourth on
the team with 17 appearances … allowed just one extra-base hit in
15 innings … worked a season-high 2.2 innings to record his third
save against West Virginia in the BIG EAST Tournament (May 25) …
allowed two hits, one walk and one run and struck out one
Mountaineer hitter … pitched a scoreless ninth inning in a win over
USF (May 13) … finished an 11-2 win at Rutgers (April 29) with a
hitless and scoreless ninth inning ... struck out one and walked
two … allowed one hit and struck out one batter in a one-inning
relief appearance at St. Francis (April 4) … picked up his second
save of the season with a 1-2-3 ninth inning at Villanova (March
26) … worked a hitless and scoreless ninth inning at Temple (March
22) … earned his first save of the season against Quinnipiac (March
18) after inheriting the bases with loaded in the eighth inning of
a 12-7 game … retired the only batter he faced in appearances
against Albany (March 14) and at the College of Charleston (March
10) … made his season debut with one scoreless inning at East
Tennessee State (March 3).
As a Redshirt Freshman (2005)
Made 24 appearances out of the bullpen and recorded three
saves … was 0-0 with a 4.87 ERA and 15 strikeouts in 20.1 innings …
allowed just one extra-base hit and no home runs for the season …
did not allow a run in eight April appearances (5.1 innings) and
allowed just one run in a stretch of 19 games between March 1 and
May 19 … had a 0.52 ERA and three saves in 17.1 innings over that
span … tied a season and career-best with four strikeouts in three
innings at Villanova (May 19) … shut down Notre Dame (May 7),
striking out a career-high four batters and allowing no hits in 2.2
innings … earned a second save at Hofstra (April 20), allowing no
hits and no runs in 1.1 innings … picked up his first save of the
season with 0.2 scoreless innings in the second game of a
doubleheader against Pitt (April 4).

Born August 21, 1985 in Bellerose, N.Y. … son of Michael and
Kathleen Lally … has three brothers, Michael, Robert and Thomas,
and two sisters, Kathleen and Patricia, all of whom graduated
from St. John's … lists winning the 2002 NYC CHSAA City
