Aggressive and fearless on the mound … can paint the outside corner
and pound the inside with a hard, moving fastball … worked well out
of the bullpen last year, posting a 3.50 ERA and averaging 10.4
strikeouts per nine innings as a reliever … should begin the 2007
season in the back end of the Red Storm bullpen.

the side in one inning of a conference game against UConn (April
21) … began the second day of a halted game at Pittsburgh (April 8)
and earned his second win of the season by allowing one run and
striking out four in 3.1 innings of work … protected a late St.
John’s lead at Villanova (March 26), allowing two hits and one run
in three innings … made his first career start at Fairfield (March
21) ... got a no decision after allowing three hits and two runs
and striking out three in 4.2 innings … earned his first career win
with 4.1 strong innings of relief at College of Charleston (March
12) ... struck out two and allowed five hits in 4.1 innings … gave
up just two hits and struck out two in 3.1 innings of relief at
East Tennessee State (March 5) … made his career debut in the
series opener at ETSU (March 3), striking out two and giving up no
hits in one inning.
At New Hampton
A three-sport standout at New Hampton, lettering in
baseball, basketball and football … led the Huskies to back-to-back
Lakes Region championships his junior and senior seasons … was his
team's Most Valuable Player and was named New Hampton's Co-Male
Athlete of the Year as a senior in 2005 … went 6-1 with a 1.70 ERA
and 156 strikeouts his senior season, following up a 6-2, 2.50 ERA
and 148 strikeout season in 2004 … was an All-New England first
team selection as a wide receiver/defensive back on New Hampton's
football team.
