St. John’s University Men’s Soccer Team Travels To Vietnam

Game Score: Men's Soccer vs. Mitsustar Club, Hai Phong, Vietnam

Again scoring two late goals, St. John’s University Men’s Soccer tied their match against Mitsustar Club at Lach Tray Stadium in Hai Phong, Vietnam, 2-2. Although the game was cut short by heavy rains, it still fostered the spirit of friendship between the U.S. and Vietnam.

Petar Rakovic scored the first goal from outside wing, and Danny Dragoi made the second goal as the rain began.

The game was part of the St. John’s team’s historic four-game, 18-day tour of Ho Chi Minh City, Da Lat and Hanoi. The Red Storm are the first American collegiate soccer team invited to play on Vietnamese soil. We invite you to view our Photo Gallery of this exciting match.
