Maryland, the fourth year in a row to play Maryland in the NCAA
Tournament (St. John's beat Maryland in 2003 at the NCAA Final
Four), how the five freshmen starters have learned and
developed, with the seven game winning streak a testament to this,
how Jeff in his starter role has stepped up as a leader to his
younger teammates, how the close games in the regular season have
prepared them for the pressure of the postseason and looking
forward to Maryland, that the team needs to remain sharp on
defense, ignore the crowd and have each individual player prepare
for what they need to do.

round of the NCAA Tournament with Ralph Bednarczyk for Red
Storm Sports, Dylan Butler of the Times Ledger and John Paccione of
St. John's WRED-TV, how the team played better as the game
progressed, how Monmouth played more aggressive initially
forcing St. John's to catch up at the start, how the defense played
well in the second half winning balls, blocking shots and making a
lot of big plays at the right moments, how the next round of
