As a Sophomore (2017):
2017 NJCAA Division III First Team All-American… hit. 444 with a .532 on-base percentage and a .753 slugging percentage… hit eight homers and drove in 79 runs in 58 games… also belted 29 doubles and four triples while drawing 43 walks… scored 79 runs and stole 12 bags… led NJCAA Division III in doubles, while ranking second in RBIS, third in total bases, fourth in walks, third in sacrifice flies and ninth in slugging percentage… Region XIX Player of the Year… led the Roadrunners to a Region XIX Final Four appearance.
As a Freshman (2016):
Hit .371 with 12 homers, 49 RBIs, 66 runs scored and 11 stolen bases… his 12 roundtrippers ranked fourth in NJCAA Division III… reached base at a .452 clip while slugging .678… walked 31 times, good enough for 17th in NJCAA Division III… had 17 doubles and five triples, both of which ranked in the top 20 nationally… helped lead the Roadrunners to an appearance in the NJCAA Division III World Series.
Matthew Kyle Woods… born in Nashville, Tennessee…son of John and Jill Woods… has two older siblings, Andrew and Sarah… chose St. John’s for its history of athletic and academic success… lists Mike Trout as his favorite athlete… a two-time dean’s list honoree at RCGC who plans to pursue a career in health and physical education.
