Series Opener With Utah Valley Suspended In Top Of Second Inning|

St. John's series opener against Utah Valley was suspended in the top of the second after snow began to accumulate on the field. After a 30-minute delay, officials decided to suspend the game.
The Red Storm scored four runs in the top of the first to take a 4-0 lead. Paced by a three-run home run by Greg Hopkins, the team collectively hit for the cycle in the opening inning.
St. John's and Utah Valley will attempt to play a double-header on Tuesday, March 10. The opener is scheduled to resume at 6 p.m. (ET) with the second game to begin 30 minutes after the completion of the first.
