Game One Of Red-Black Intrasquad World Series Postponed To Oct. 20

Best-of-seven series is free to the public.

QUEENS, N.Y.  – Due to the expected continuation of inclement weather, game one of the Red-Black Intrasquad World Series has been postponed.  The game will now be played at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 20.

This year’s IWS has been extended to a best-of-seven series.  Games 1-4 will be seven-inning contests and games 5-7 will be nine-inning games.  All games are open to the public and admission is free.

The Red squad will be managed by second-year volunteer assistant coach Brendan Monaghan, while 11th-year assistant coach Mike Hampton will take the helm of the Black team.

The Red team will throw righty James Lomangino, righty Stephen Rivera, lefty Brendan Lobban and lefty Jake Woodward.  The Black team will counter with righty Brad Bellinger, lefty Sean Hagan and righty Kyle Hansen, while the game four starter is yet to be announced.

Sat., Oct. 22: 11 a.m.
Sun., Oct. 23: 11 a.m.
Fri., Oct. 28: 3 p.m.
Sat., Oct. 29: 4 p.m.
Sun., Oct. 30: 2 p.m.
