Team Notes

  • St. John's had at least four players in double-figures for the fourth time this season.
  • Arizona represented the first of 17 opponents on the Red Storm's schedule that appeared in the 2010-11 NCAA Tournament. The Wildcats were also the first ranked opponent of the season for St. John's, which defeated six Top 25 teams a year ago.
  • The Red Storm shot 51.1 percent (24-of-47) from the floor, surpassing the 50.0 percent plateau for the second time this season.
  • St. John's made its first 10 free throw attempts and shot 70.0 percent (21-of-30) from the charity stripe for the game. The Red Storm, which is shooting 67.4 percent (87-of-129) at the line this season, is shooting 75.0 percent (45-of-60) in the past two games.

    Individual Notes

  • A game-high 18-point effort marked the fourth-straight double-figure scoring contest for Nurideen Lindsey. The sophomore is averaging a team-best 16.8 points per game this season and is shooting 52.3 percent (23-of-44) from the field.
  • D'Angelo Harrison made 7-of-8 free throws and scored 14 of his 16 points in the first half of action. The freshman is averaging 16.5 points in the past two contests.
  • Moe Harkless grabbed a career-high nine rebounds, including seven in the first half. The freshman is averaging 6.8 boards per game, tied for the team-best.
  • Sir'Dominic Pointer made his first-career start and finished with four points and seven rebounds in 25 minutes of action.
  • Phil Greene scored in double-figures for the first time with a career-high 12 points. Greene made his first-career 3-pointer and finished 2-of-2 from beyond the arc.
