Head Coach Norm Roberts
"They do a good job with rebounding and most of them are long rebounds. We are going to have to attack the ball and go get the loose balls."
On Providence's style of play:
"Providence is a more perimeter oriented team. We have to guard ball screens, contest shots and rebound. We also need to make plays when we have the opportunities."
On the Georgetown game:
"We knew we had to be disciplined for the full shot clock and we weren't able to do that every time against Georgetown. We played tough, but we also have to play smart."
On Justin Burrell:
"We did not expect him to play as many minutes, but he was going good. He gave us good minutes and only adds to our team and our depth."
On the BIG EAST Conference this season:
"It is critical to win on the road. We have to win at home too. You have to stay focused or you will get beat in this conference. There is so much parody in this league and you have to be ready to go every night."
Junior Guard D. J. Kennedy
On facing Providence:
"It will be our first home game of the new year and our first BIG EAST home game of the season. We need to stay focused and play well at home."
On the importance of winning at home:
"When you lose at home, it is hard to win on the road. We just need to stay focused and execute."
Freshman Guard Malik Stith
On the intensity in the BIG EAST Conference:
On his first BIG EAST game at Georgetown:
"It was a good experience. Coach told us that if you slip up, they'll make you pay, and they did. It was a good game and I definitely got more comfortable and got some time under my belt."
"Every possession counts. We have to get the crowd into it. Everything is a higher level of intensity in the BIG EAST. We have to be more disciplined and we need to execute until the end."
On Justin Burrell's return to the court:
"His dunk brought us back to life in a drought. He is a leader and we are glad to have him back."
