St. John's Participates in BTIG's Commissions For Charity Day

NEW YORK --Head coach Chris Mullin and Conrado "Bobby" Gempesaw, Ph.D., President, St. John's University, joined several sports icons and celebrities for Commissions for Charity Day hosted by New York City brokerage firm BTIG on Tuesday. The 13th annual event featured a wide range of stars such as Shaquille O'Neal, Hannah Davis, and Tommy Hilfiger in a collective effort to support children's charities. New York sports franchises were well represented at the event which also featured Joe Girardi and CC Sabathia from the Yankees, Tom Coughlin, Eli Manning from the Giants, Ranger great Mark Messier, former Knicks Charles Oakley and Allan Houston, as well as WNBC sportscaster Bruce Beck.

BTIG LLC, a global financial services firm specializing in institutional trading and related brokerage services, welcomed the "guest-traders" to BTIG's trading floors to help raise money to support a variety of charities. The Red Storm's efforts will benefit St. John's Bread and Life Soup Kitchen in Bedford-Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn, where St. John's University was originally founded in 1870.
