St. John’s to Host Five “Red Storm Rallies” This Season|
Nov. 9, 2017
QUEENS, N.Y. – With the start of the 2017-18 just one day away, St. John’s Athletics has announced the dates for five Red Storm Rallies to take place inside Taffner Field House on basketball game days.
The first of these events will coincide with the men’s and women’s basketball season-opening doubleheader tomorrow, taking place from 3:30 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. in Taffner Field House, located just steps away from the on-campus home of the Johnnies. The four remaining Red Storm Rallies will precede men’s basketball home contests at Carnesecca Arena on Nov. 16, Jan. 6, Jan. 30 and Feb. 28.
Red Storm Rallies will be free to all fans and will feature numerous giveaways including food and drink samples, Red Storm autographs, a Junior Johnnies fan zone and the chance to enjoy performances from our student athletic support groups.
In addition to the Red Storm Rallies, St. John’s Alumni Relations and Red White Club will co-host private receptions on Nov. 16, Jan. 6, Jan. 30 and Feb. 28 for those individuals who have gifted $100 or more to St. John’s Athletics. Red White Club members, who will each be allowed one guest, will be entitled to more benefits than the average fan, including two drink tickets and one food ticket. All St. John’s alumni are invited to attend the private reception.
Red White Club members can RSVP for the pregame receptions by contacting Associate Director of Athletic Development Paul Sclafani at 718-990-5539 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Tomorrow’s doubleheader will begin at 4:30 p.m. with the women’s basketball team hosting St. Francis Brooklyn followed by the men’s basketball squad welcoming New Orleans at 7 p.m.
