Shearer Named Freshman All-American by College Soccer News

QUEENS, N.Y. - The awards continue to roll in for Jack Shearer on the heels of a breakout rookie season, as the St. John's forward has been named to the College Soccer News Freshman All-America Third Team.

Making appearances in all 19 games for the Red Storm this season with 15 starts, Shearer played an integral part in helping the Red Storm turn in its best record (9-7-3) since 2013.

The Aliquippa, Pa., native finished third on the team in points, tallying three goals and three assists on the campaign. All three of Shearer's tallies came during BIG EAST play, as the freshman helped the Johnnies turn in its best regular season conference mark since 2009 at 5-2-2.

For his efforts, Shearer was unanimously selected to the BIG EAST All-Freshman Team and earned a no. 29 ranking in the Top Drawer Soccer Freshman Top 100.
