QUEENS, N.Y. - Head men's soccer coach Dr. Dave Masur has announced that the walk-on tryouts for cleared St. John's students will be held at 7 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 16.
The tryout is only for those students that attended the mandatory compliance meeting and have completed and returned all necessary paperwork to both the compliance and sports medicine departments.
Properly cleared students should report to the lobby of Carnesecca Arena with running shoes, cleats, indoor shoes and shin guards.
St. John's reached the NCAA Tournament for the 18th time in program history this past season, earning the No. 9 national seed and a first round bye. The Red Storm won its conference-record ninth BIG EAST Tournament crown, posted a 14-7-2 record and finished the season ranked No. 18 in the end-of-season National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Top 25 poll. First team NSCAA All-Region honoree Connor Lade, who signed a contract with the New York Red Bulls as a homegrown player following the season, also earned second team All-BIG EAST honors and was one of four Red Storm players to earn All-Conference honors.
