QUEENS, N.Y. - After returning to the ITA Rankings at No. 62 this week after wins over Penn and No. 68 Yale, the St. John's men's tennis team will head to the Midwest to take on new BIG EAST member Creighton on Thursday, April 3 before facing No. 32 Drake on Friday, April 4 in Des Moines, Ia.

For the Red Storm (10-6, 1-0 BIG EAST), the return to polls marks its highest ranking since Jan. 23 when SJU checked in at No. 56. This is St. John's third appearance in the rankings this season after appearing at No. 74 for the week during the weeks of March 11 and March 18.

With SJU down 3-2 on the road against Yale on March 29, sophomore R.J. Del Nunzio tied the score with a gritty three-set victory at the No. 2 singles slot, setting the stage for freshman Robert Livi and his clincher at fifth singles.

This squad is the fourth in the tenure of head coach Eric Rebhuhn to be ranked nationally in the ITA polls. The program saw its first ranking on March 8, 2011 when the Red Storm came in at No. 64.

The Bluejays are 9-4 overall and have won seven of their last nine matches entering their first conference contest of the season against St. John's. The Bulldogs (14-5, 0-0 MVC) are coming off a 4-1 win over then-No. 28 Harvard on March 22 and will be the second top-40 opponent the Red Storm has faced over the last two weeks.
