His primary duties include game video preparation, opponent film breakdown and assisting the coaching staff in film scouting for upcoming games. He also coordinates film exchange with other teams and upcoming opponents, and he directs student managers for the videotaping of all practices and games played. Before joining St. John's, Bruno worked on the men's basketball staff at Long Island University - C.W. Post. He was a key part in the program's most successful season in history, as the team earned a trip to the Elite Eight and finished with a 30-1 record in 2008-09. Bruno revived the program's scouting film preparation, as he was in charge of video and film breakdown. He also assisted with recruiting and helped with individual player workouts. Prior to Bruno's stint at Long Island University- C.W. Post, he worked with the UConn women's basketball team as a team manager before being elevated to the head team manager position for the 2006-07 and 2007-08 campaigns. While at UConn, Bruno had much success both in conference action and national play, as the Huskies earned three BIG EAST titles, two BIG EAST tournament titles and a trip to the Final Four. His duties with UConn included assisting with team film services, travel arrangements and day-to-day basketball operations. He graduated from Connecticut with a bachelor's degree in sport management in 2008 and is currently pursuing a master's degree in secondary education from St. John's University.
