Clare Droesch enters her first season as the St. John's women's basketball team's head manager/video coordinator. Her primary responsibilities are coordinating the videotape exchange policy, overseeing the videotaping of all Red Storm practices and games, capturing and compiling select recruit film, producing specialized video for coaches and players and other duties as assigned.

Droesch comes to the Red Storm after spending this past season with the Vanderbilt women's basketball program as the team's video coordinator. Her responsibilities included scouting, breaking down film and making highlight tapes. Prior to her stint with Vanderbilt, she spent the 2006-07 season as an assistant coach with the University of Massachusetts (Boston) women's basketball program, working primarily with the guards while overseeing recruiting efforts.

Droesch enjoyed a highly successful college career for the Boston College women's basketball team from 2001-05, helping lead the Eagles to four-straight NCAA Tournament appearances. She was named to the BIG EAST All-Rookie team in 2002, and was a third team selection in 2005. She finished her career with the Eagles ranked third with 120 3-pointers made, 13th with 1,136 career points and holds the record with 126 games played. She captained the team and earned the team's leadership award in 2004-05. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in sociology in 2005.

No stranger to the New York area, Droesch is a native of Rockaway Beach, N.Y., and played high school basketball for local powerhouse Christ the King. A three-time Newsday Player of the Year selection, she helped lead the team to a No. 1 national ranking in the USA Today Poll during her freshman season and to three-straight New York State championships. At the conclusion of her senior campaign, she was named a WBCA All-American.

Through the years, Droesch has maintained her relationships in the New York Metropolitan area by being involved in many camps and clinics. Most recently, she was an assistant coach from 2006-07 under Christ the King coach Jill Cook for her junior and senior class AAU team. That same year, she directed and organized the Top Skillz Camp in Rockaway Beach, N.Y.

Droesch also brings with her international playing experience, as she played for the Alges in Lisbon, Portugal, from 2005-06 and was the team captain.
