2012 Red Storm Tip-Off

2012 Red Storm Tip-Off

On McPherson:
Athletic, versatile and reliable player ... a solid defender ... went from instant spark off the bench as the Red Storm's unofficial sixth man during her sophomore campaign to starting shooting guard as a junior ... en route to becoming one of St. John's 1,000-point scorers entering her senior season with 839 career points ... scored in double figures 41 times over her three-year career and has recorded seven 20-point scoring efforts.

Joe Tartamella on McPherson:
"Gina has been the glue player in our lineup. We can always lean on her. She flies under the radar and she embraces that. She extends the opposing team's defenses, while also having the ability to get to the rim, which makes her tough to defend. With Gina, you know what she is going to bring day in and day out, on and off the court. She is a big piece of what we do. I expect a big year from her and she has a chance to play at the next level, which I think drives her."
