As a Freshman 2017-18: Played in all 34 games as a freshman with 11 starts … Scored in double-figures in 17 games over the 2017-18 season… Was the top rookie scorer in the BIG EAST averaging 10.1 points per contest … Was the team’s leading scorer on nine different occasions … Led the team in assists twice over the 2017-18 campaign … Named 2018 BIG EAST Freshman of the Year, becoming the first St. John's player to be named the league's top rookie since Da'Shena Stevens won the award at the conclusion of the 2008-09 season … Hoppie is one of just three players in St. John's history to garner the accolade, joining Stevens and Ann Marie McNamee (1983).… Received unanimous selection to the 2018 All-BIG EAST Freshman Team … Named BIG EAST Freshman of the Week four times over the 2017-18 season … Named to All-Met Second Team … Posted 16 points in the team’s season opener against St. Francis Brooklyn (Nov. 10), recording the most points in a collegiate debut at St. John’s since Shenneika Smith put up 17 points in her debut back in 2009. … Scored a career high 21 points against William and Mary (Nov. 17) … Dished out a season high six assists at Albany (Nov. 30)

Nominated for 2017 McDonald’s All-American game after a standout senior year at The Patrick School in New Jersey... Landed on NJ.com’s 2016-17 All-Non-Public First Team… Played in 30 games as a senior, averaging 15.9 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.9 assists per contest.
