PINEHURST, N.C. - Junior Harin Lee got her sixth top-five finish in seven events during the 2012-13 school year by posting a 73(+1) in the third round of the Pinehurst Challenge to claim second and lead the Red Storm women's golf team to a 12th-place team finish. St. John's as a team shot a 310(+22) on Tuesday to bounce back from a second-round 328 Monday and climb two spots in the final standings.
Lee capped another stellar outing by carding 13 pars on the Pinehurst No. 6 course and notching a pair of birdies to finish in sole possession of second place.
Several Red Storm golfers had their best round of the Pinehurst Challenge on Tuesday as Stephanie Eybers notched a 76(+4), Cameron Lambertson carded an 82(+10) and Sebin Kim carded a 79 while competing as an individual.
Richmond took the team title, while the Spiders' Caroline Lovette took the individual title.
Up next for the Red Storm is the Georgetown Women's Hoya Invitational, April 8-9.
