QUEENS, N.Y. - St. John’s women’s golf coach Ambry Bishop has announced her team’s upcoming schedule for the 2018 spring season, featuring four regular season tournaments. The Johnnies will conclude their spring slate with the BIG EAST Championship on the weekend of April 20 at Callawassie Island in Okatie, S.C.

For the sixth-consecutive year, the Red Storm will partake in the largest colligate golf tournament in the country, the Edwin Watts / Kiawah Island Classic, on Feb. 25 in Kiawah Island, S.C. Last season, St. John’s finished in a 12th-place tie out of 43 competing teams.

On March 12-13, the Red Storm will visit Jacksonville Beach, Fla. for the Butler Benbow Collegiate Tournament. This will be the first time in over 10 years the Johnnies have competed in this tournament.

St. John’s finishes up the month of March with the Kingsmill Intercollegiate on March 19-20 in Williamsburg, Va. In last year’s outing, sophomore Kaitleen Shee paced the Johnnies by carding a 13-over 229 to help the Red Storm secure a top-15 finish.

The Red Storm will wrap up regular season play with a trip to Milford, Conn. for the Sacred Heart Spring Invitational on April 8-9, marking the first time the Johnnies have competed in the tournament.

St. John’s then travels to Okatie, S.C. for the 2018 BIG EAST Championships at Callawassie Island Golf Course from April 20-22. In the team’s last appearance, the Johnnies turned over a third-place finish, backed by top-10 performances by Shee and Kirsty Beckwith.
