Chelsea Regan joined the St. John's women's soccer program in summer 2011 as she was hired as head coach Ian Stone's graduate assistant coach. Regan had illustrious playing career as a four-year starter (2007-11) and team captain for the Boston College Eagles. She was part of Boston College's two-time NCAA Women's Soccer College Cup (2009-10) and three-time NCAA Women's Soccer Elite Eight (2008-2010) squad. Regan also played on the Eagles' 2009 Atlantic Coast Conference's Co-Champions team. She won BC's 2010 Team Leadership award and also earned New England Women's Intercollegiate Soccer Association's All-New England first team honors in 2010 and NEWISA second-team honors in 2007 and 2008. She was also named to the Top Drawer Soccer All-freshman second team in 2007. A Raritan, N.J., native, Regan played in 86 games for the Eagles and started 84, she finished her career with five goals and four assists. As a junior in 2009, she notched a career-best three goals and one assist from the defensive midfield position. In addition to her successes at Boston College, Regan also played with the U.S. National Team at the Under-15, U-16 and U-17 levels. She traveled abroad to Germany, Scotland and Holland with the U-17 adidas All-Star team. Before playing at Boston College, she earned 2006 PARADE Magazine All-America honors and was a third team AP New Jersey All-State selection as a four-year starter for Bridgewater-Raritan. Regan also played club ball for the Player Development Academy (PDA) Fury. Regan, who graduated Boston College in 2011 with a dual bachelor degree in English and communications, was also named an ACC Academic All-American in 2007 and 2008.
