St. John's Tops Lehigh, 1-0, to Close Exhibition Play|

Bethlehem, Pa. - Closing out the exhibition portion of its schedule on Thursday night in Bethlehem, Pa., the Red Storm used a 48th minute goal from Kayla Mesaros to break a scoreless tie and pick up its second victory of the preseason, 1-0, over Lehigh.
Mesaros' shot marked her second goal of exhibition play with the help from Maia Cabrera who picked up an assist on the tally.
The Red Storm registered its first shot on goal just 21 seconds into the match as Zsani Kajan flicked it on target but saw her shot turned away by the Lehigh keeper. The Budapest, Hungary, native tallied three more shots on goal to lead the squad with a total of four during the contest.
Four other Johnnies registered shots on target for the Red Storm as the squad managed to outshoot the Mountain Hawks 8-7.
The dynamic duo of Meredith Reinhardt and Jordan Kamp helped to hold Lehigh scoreless over the 90 minutes of play. In addition, newcomer Reinhardt came up big with two saves in the first period to ultimately lift the Johnnies to victory.
The St. John's women's soccer team will kick off the regular season with a trip to the Volunteer State to take on SEC foe Tennessee on Aug. 16 at 7 p.m.
