QUEENS, N.Y. - Following a solid first year of collegiate soccer, redshirt freshman Zsani Kajan has be recalled by the Hungarian National Team for the squad’s World Cup Qualifier match against Ukraine on Nov. 24.
Hungary is currently tied with Ukraine with one point through three matches in Group 4, which also consists of Denmark, Sweden and Croatia.
Kajan is no stranger to international play. In May 2016, the Budapest native suited up for Hungary during the UEFA Euro 2017 Qualifiers. Earlier in her career, Kajan scored a goal and tallied three assists against Kazakhstan during World Cup Qualifying in 2013 before scoring two goals in the 2016 UEFA European U-19 Championship.
As a redshirt freshman, Kajan played in 17 games this season for the Red Storm and scored a pair of goals. Kajan made an immediate impact on the team, scoring in her first collegiate game and landing on the first BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll of the 2017 campaign.
