Curry Named To College Sports Madness BIG EAST Preseason All-Conference First Team

Junior led team in batting average and slugging percentage as a sophomore on the way to first team all-BIG EAST honors.

As a sophomore in 2011: Appeared in 44 games, starting 43 ... led team in batting average (.357) and slugging percentage (.589) ... second on the team in on-base percentage (.417) ... first on the squad with 16 stolen bases on just 18 attempts ... named to 2011 All-BIG EAST first team ... went 2-for-4 with three RBI, a run scored, and two stolen bases against UNC Greensboro (Feb. 13) ... went 3-for-4 with a home run, three RBI, and two runs scored against UT-Martin (March 6) ... went 3-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored against Maryland (March 12) ... went 1-for-3 with a walk, three stolen bases and three runs scored against James Madison (March 18) ... went 2-for-3 with a double, and RBI and a stolen base against DePaul (April 2) ... went 3-for-6 with four RBI and a run scored in two games against Seton Hall (April 6) ... went 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored against Providence (April 10 ... went-3-for-5 with two RBI and two runs scored against Villanova (April 14) ... named to the 2010-11 BIG EAST All-Academic Team.

Before St. John's: Was a letterwinner for Clayton Valley from 2007-09 and earned first-team all-league honors all three years ... led Clayton Valley to the league championship as a senior in 2009 and was named team MVP ... broke the Clayton Valley batting record in 2007 with a .577 average ... in 2006, was named MVP of her team for freshman year at Concord High School.

Personal: Born in Martinez, Calif. ... daughter of Thomas David Bossett and Lisa Elaine Bossett ... has four older siblings, Angalida, Karmyn, Jennifer and David and one younger brother, Thomas Jr. ... hopes to become a psychiatrist.
