Montez walk-off grand slam wins game one, St. John's run-rules Jaspers in game two.

As a freshman in 2011: Started 49 games ... recorded 10 RBI on 23 hits ... third on the team in walks (15) ... recorded a .971 fielding percentage ... tied for the team lead in sacrifice fly balls (3) ... went 2-for-3 against UNC Greensboro (Feb. 13) ... drew two walks vs. East Carolina (Feb. 18) ... went 4-for-6 in double header against Georgetown (April 17).

Before St. John's: Played softball for four years as a catcher/third baseman/shortstop at George C. Marshall, serving as captain for two years ... was George C. Marshall's Most Outstanding Player in 2009 and 2010 ... named to All-Liberty District first team VHSVA Division AAA All-State second team and Washington Post All-Met second team as a senior ... also earned first team all-region and second team all-state honors as a senior ... batted .378 with .622 slugging percentage and four home runs and earned All-Liberty District honors from 2007-09 ... played travel ball for six years with the Vienna Stars.
