QUEENS, N.Y. – In its fourth year of coverage, the BIG EAST Digital Network presented by SoFi unveiled its 2018 spring schedule on Thursday, a slate that will include three St. John's Softball broadcasts.
In all, three of the 10 softball matchups to air on BEDN will feature the Red Storm.
The network’s softball coverage is set to kick off on April 8 with all eight BIG EAST Softball teams in action, including a noon contest between St. John’s and Villanova.
The next matchup will be aired two weeks later on April 22 when the Red Storm visits Cacciatore Stadium for a noon start with DePaul. The Johnnies will then close out their BEDN schedule on May 6 when the Red Storm hosts Butler with first pitch set for 11 a.m. at Red Storm Field.
When the BIG EAST launched the Digital Network in 2014-15, the league became the first collegiate conference to be hosted on FOX Sports Go, the app that provides live streaming video of FOX Sports content at home or on-the-go. In 2015-16, the league expanded BEDN to include 225 live events, doubling the number from the first year.
FOX Sports GO is currently available for iOS, Android, Kindle Fire tablets and Fire phones, select Windows devices, and on desktops through FOXSportsGO.com. Fans can download the mobile app for free from the iTunes App Store, Google Play, Amazon App Store and Windows Store. FOX Sports Go's authenticated distribution is more than 90 million homes averaging more than three million streams per month. In 2015, FOX Sports Go became available internationally.
