St. John's Softball Earns 11 NFCA Scholar-Athlete Honors

Recent graduate Jackie Reed was one of 11 Red Storm softball players named a NFCA Scholar-Athlete.

QUEENS, N.Y. – Just days after being named a National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Academic Team, the St. John’s softball team saw 11 members of the 2013-14 squad named NFCA Scholar-Athletes.
 
Recent graduates Ashley Beza and Jackie Reed joined Alyssa Rusch, Amber Korras, Yvonne Rericha, Carly Williams, Grace Kramer, Kaitlyn Wilkens, Erin Burner, Kaitlin Fitzgerald and Shirley Chui in the honors.
 
In order to receive the honors, a student-athlete must finish the 2013-14 academic year with a minimum 3.5 GPA. In total, the NFCA named 4,660 student-athletes that included 1,096 members from Division I.
