Off The Court
Brooks, an elementary education major with a concentration in psychology, says beating then-No. 24 Long Beach State for the first win over a ranked opponent, defeating Louisville to win the BIG EAST Tournament and making it to the regional semis of the NCAA Tournament were her most memorable moments from 2007. She enjoys dancing, singing, camping, boating, going to the beach, hanging out with friends and listening to music. Her favorite book is "Cross" by James Patterson and her favorite movie is "A League of Their Own." Brooks is an avid fan of the New York Yankees and lists Derek Jeter as her favorite athlete, as well as volleyballer Holly McPeak. Her plans for the 2008 season are to win the program's third consecutive BIG EAST regular season title and make it to the NCAA Tournament for the third year in a row.
