As a Sophomore (2007): Competed in 26 games in 20 matches ... had a season-high two assists at Central Connecticut State (Aug. 29) ... tallied a season-high seven kills on 17 attempts vs. Fairfield (Sept. 1) ... posted a perfect hitting percentage against Penn State (Sept. 7) ... recorded an .800 hitting percentage (4-0-5) vs. Colgate (Sept. 8) ... recorded her second career multiple-service ace match with two vs. East Tennessee State (Sept. 15) ... registered a season-high three digs twice: vs. NJIT (Sept. 1) and vs. ETSU (Sept. 15).
As a Freshman (2006): Played in 32 games in 20 contests ... recorded her first collegiate kill against New Hampshire (Aug. 25) ... posted first career block against Air Force (Sept. 1) ... registered a season-high two service aces against Norfolk State (Sept. 2) ... posted a perfect hitting percentage against Florida State (Sept. 8) ... had six kills and dished out a season-high four assists against Binghamton (Sept. 16) ... tallied a season-high eight kills on 18 attempts and had two total blocks against West Virginia (Sept. 24).
At Fundacao Evangelica: Four-year letterwinner in volleyball ... took first at the Copa Paqueta/Nike tournament and placed first in Jirgs in 2005 ... team placed third in the national championship ... captained squad in 2004 ... named most valuable player in 2004 ... team won the state championship from 2003-05.
Off The Court: Scheffel, a business management major, says her most memorable moment from last year was defeating Louisville 3-0 to win the BIG EAST Tournament Championship. She enjoys going to the beach, listening to music and taking pictures. Her favorite TV shows are House and Law and Order and her favorite song is "Wonderland" by John Mayer. Her favorite food is her grandmother's homemade meals. Her personal goals for the 2008 season are to work hard and give her best during practices and games, all while helping the team reach the national semifinals of the NCAA Tournament.
