Red Storm Cross Country Takes The St. John's Fall Festival Team Title

Senior Nicole Cocozza wins the women's individual championship with her record performance.

As A Sophomore (2010): Took part in the C.W. Post Invite (Sept. 18) and posted a 5K time of 21:33.74.

As A Freshman (2009): Placed 11th overall at the season-opening Hofstra Invitational (Sept. 5), running her best 5K time of 21:01 ... tied her 5K-best at the Metropolitan Championships (Oct. 9) ... ran fastest 6K time of 24:29 at the Paul Short Invite (Oct. 2), finishing sixth on the team.

Before St. John's: Participated in track & field and cross country from 2002-2009 at Warwick Academy in Bermuda ... set Bermuda Junior Nationals record in the 1,500-meter race with a time of 4:45 and the 800-meter race with a time of 2:13 ... finished in the top 10 of the 1500-meter race at the 2009 Pan-American games ... took bronze in the 1,500 meters at the 2009 Carifta games.

Personal: Daughter of Wayne Calvin Eugene Bean ... has three siblings, Keishen (23) who attends Cape Breton University in Canada, Taylor-Ashley (17) and Dominique (14) ... cites her parents and her coach as most influential on her athletic career because of their support and belief in her ... participated in orchestra and school drama productions in high school ... majoring in communications.
