Red Storm Cross Country Takes The St. John's Fall Festival Team Title

Senior Nicole Cocozza wins the women's individual championship with her record performance.

As A Sophomore (2010): Did not participate due to injury.

As A Freshman (2009): Participated in two races before missing most of the season with an injury ... finished third on the team at the 5K Hofstra Invitational (Sept. 5) with a time of 20:15 ... placed first on the team and 80th overall with her time of 25:04 at the 6K Iona Meet of Champions (Sept. 19).

Before St. John's: Five-year letterwinner and four-year captain in track for Island Trees High School ... played on and captained JV soccer team ... finished seventh in the freshman mile at nationals ... six-time Nassau county champion ... four-time state meet qualifier in the high jump and 1,500-meters ... finished third in the 1,500-meter race at the 2008 Derrick Atkins meet, made the Milesplit U.S. First Team Elite in the 1,000-meter race in 2009 ... holds school records in the high jump, 400-meter, 600-meter, 800-meter, 1,000-meter, 1,500-meter and 2,000-meter steeplechase ... member of the National Honor Society.
