BRONX, N.Y. – Sophomore twin sisters Stephanie Van Pelt and Michelle Van Pelt concluded the St. John’s cross country team’s season on Saturday morning by posting top-10 finishes in the Coaches’ Association 5K race at the 29th ECAC Championships at Van Cortlandt Park in Bronx, N.Y.

Stephanie Van Pelt placed ninth out of 33 runners in a time of 20:46.7, while Michelle Van Pelt finished 10th in 20:54.4. They are the only Red Storm runners to appear in every race this season.

“Having Stephanie and Michelle place in top-10 finishes in the ECAC Coaches’ race was a great way for them to finish the cross country season,” said St. John’s Jim Hurt. “They continue to improve each week and can look forward to a strong indoor track season.”
