As a rookie, there is a lot to learn, a lot to experience and a lot
of firsts.

Melissa Pilley will take RedStormSports.com along with them for
the ride. In installment three of "Rookie Diary," Roxann Struble
will talk about how she has contributed to the team and life in New
York.
Hey St. John's Softball Fans:
My name is Roxy Struble and I am a freshman infielder for the
St. John's softball team. I am originally from Chino, Calif.
So far this season, I have had the opportunity to play in seven
games. I've come into the games in some clutch situations and was
able to produce. Helping out my team, whether starting or coming
off the bench, has given a lot of confidence.
This weekend against Stetson, I played two games as the
designated player. I finished up 4-for-6, with one run and one RBI.
In a tough loss to the Hatters in game three of the series, I drove
in the only run of the game. Hopefully, I can keep contributing and
help my team get the win in any way in necessary.
Being a part of the softball team has been great for me and has
really helped me adjust to life in New York. I really like the city
so far and love going to see plays and experiencing snow. The type
of learning environment on campus has been great because it is
really diverse and I am able to learn a little about different
peoples cultures. I'm having a great time and look forward to the
rest of the season
Thanks and Go Red Storm! Roxy Struble, #23
